2005
I began my career at Nicky Clarke Salons, starting as an Assistant under an apprenticeship scheme. During my time there, I was promoted to Graduate Stylist and eventually to Senior Stylist & Colourist. I had the opportunity to work across various locations, including Birmingham, Mayfair, Manchester, and Leeds. Notable experiences included assisting at the BAFTA Awards and working behind the scenes at Vivienne Westwood’s fashion show.

2013
I then joined Lisa Shepherd Salons, where I progressed from Stylist to Senior Stylist, focusing on both cutting and coloring services. This role allowed me to gain invaluable experience working closely with award-winning stylist Lisa Shepherd.

2016
My next position was at Toni & Guy, where I achieved the prestigious ‘Vardering’ qualification at their Manchester and London academies. I served as a Senior Technician and Assistant Manager, managing a busy service column while building a substantial client base.

2022
Currently, I operate my independent hairdressing brand, Mark Leon Hair, as a sole trader at FATE Hair Design in Sutton Coldfield. I manage all aspects of my business and finances while also importing and retailing a proprietary line of hair extensions. Additionally, I have the pleasure of working occasionally at Nicky Clarke's Birmingham salon.

2024
I joined the hairdressing team at Soho Farmhouse, further expanding my experience in the industry.
